Rest in peace, little one. You were a very unique individual with a lot of spirit and courage, and I'm sorry the world around you didn't know how to deal better with that. The world is learning, Larry. It will take time, but they are learning. "The arc of history is long, but it bends towards justice." -Martin Luther King Jr.

I just finished the Newsweek article. This is a tragedy, and I am very sorry for the loss of your son. There are no words... you have my thoughts and prayers. Every child is precious.

It hurts deeply to hear of a life cut short, especially one so young and proud. My heart goes out to Larry and his family. This country needs to become more understanding. It's sickening to see junior high kids carrying out horrible acts such as this.
May you find peace, Larry.

I just read Newsweek's online story of Larry. To all his family and friends my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I don't understand why this did not make national news back in February. This is a story that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Maybe, it could prevent another such tragedy. How sad two families have to face such devastation.

you were courage
thrust in an uncertain world
you fought, you suffered
you laughed, you cried
you smiled, you frowned
you walked with head up high
you touched lives
you believed in yourself
you loved
you left this world so early
you will leave a legacy
you are you
you are courage

What an amazing person! In the short time that he was here, he taught us so much. A beautiful life and soul has been lost to violence and hate yet once again. My thoughts are with all. Let these actions not bring about more violence, but teach us that it is not the answer.

I read the article on line at Newsweek. I am a gay man and was beat up constantly in high school. Larry turned the tables and on the bullies. He did not deserve to die the way he did. I hope when the trial comes, guilty and life in prison is the verdict. If the gun had been secure and locked, this most likely would have never happened. God bless your family and I sincerely am deeply saddened by your loss of Larry.

I just found out about this from Brittany off of Tila Tequila's a Shot ot love season 2. She left a few videos in a bulletin and they brought me to tears. No one should ever be killed, no matter what age gender or race for being gay. Love is love and no person on this planet should be able to stop another human being from loveing who they do. It's so sad to see that Larry was killed just for asking that other boy to be his valentine. I see my friends get bashed on all the time, and i awlays do what i can to stick up for them. It's wrong that so many people want love but then say it's wrong for someone else to find love, even if it is with somone from the same gender, it's just hypocritical and wrong in so many ways.
