To say that what happened to this young man is a tragedy is clearly an understatement. The fact that someone could take his fate into their own hands is an abomination of God. There is only one judge and the Lord would not justify what that monster did to Larry. God bless you, your family and all who has had the pleasure of making your aquaintance.

I really loved what Lawrence did. He was not afraid to show that he was gay, i'm glad he stood up for that. But I feel really bad of what happened to him that was a terrible thing what Brandon did and i know everybody knows that. ....I have much love for you Lawrence...R.I.P.!!!!

I am truly saddened by your lost. I am a high school student myself and I know how mean kids can be. Kids will pick on anyone who is not the typical jock or homecoming queen. The worst thing for a high school student is to be "different" in any way. I can not imagine how difficult it must have been for Larry. Since the murder of Larry many people's eyes have been opened about the dangers that gay people face. Larry's death may be a tragedy but he will always be remembered for his courage to be openly gay to his family and his peers. He has been a role model for so many. His life was taken tragically but his spirit will live on.

This is very tragic and unacceptable. All this hate needs to end now. I am in the process of trying to help end the hate in my hometown

my heart goes out to this young man's family and friend. it is so very sad to hear about this, and think of all the many people in this world who hate and discriminate. i myself, am a bisexual, and i know how hate is. i;ve lost friends over it. and my family highly dissaproves. and it is not right, when i think about this, it scares me to think of how a 14 year old boy could evet get his hands on a gun, much less have the courage to shoot someone, over a simple question, of "will you be my valentine?" and just because he was gay. but you know what? im proud of Lawrence King! I'm sure he was an amazing person, and i would have been proud to be known his friend. im proud he didnt hide his sexuality. its okay to be honest with the world. he is an inspiration to myself, and others. my love goes out to him.

My deepest sympathies go out to Larry's family. As the mother of a 7 month old son, and also a lesbian, my heart hurts for you all. This kind of intolerance has got to stop. Larry is in Heaven looking down on all of us. God bless you.
