This makes me very angry to see something like this happen. Larry did NOT deserve this! The person that took Larry's life should pay a price. A huge price. We need to do something fast. Almost ALL the jokes i hear are centered around being Gay/Lesbian/Bi. The whole world needs to wake up and realize that being gay is not wrong, and its YOUR decision. God does NOT hate Gays. If he did, we wouldn't be his children!

I feel so disgusted that something like this would happen. What kind of person would do something like that to a child! My thoughts and prayers are with Larry's family & friends.

I have read many articles and watched videos and tributes to Larry and his family, and I really would like to send my heart out to them. I'm very glad to hear that people are trying to put a stop to school violence, and increase the peace in this world. It really needs to be done. This heart-breaking story has touched my heart, and I hope that many others, recognize this and pray for the King family.
I am praying for you.

I never knew Larry or his family, but as an openly bisexual who strongly supports human rights, I must say that this is such a terrible thing. I am proud of him for never backing down when people picked on him for being gay, because I also stuck up for my rights in school. He was so young and it wasn't fair. I really hope that the other boy gets what he deserves. All I can really say is that I am truly sorry for what happened to you and Larry, and I hope that his death will mean something to the world and help stop hate before this happens to someone else's child. Children these days are so full of hate and misunderstanding for anyone different and that's what ended Larry's life. May he rest in peace.

The story of this young boy breaks my heart. I am from a small backwards town in Ohio that is anything but accepting towards anyone that isn't white/straight/protestant.
It sickens me that people have the nerve to be so intolerant of others. Over something as small as their sexuality? Sexuality does not make the person. The person makes what they wish to make out of their sexuality.
We should all be free to express ourselves in any way that we as individuals see fit, and for someone so young to have that right taken away..so very sad.
All because someone else wasn't comfortable with Larry?
I feel very sorry for the young man who pulled the trigger. Not because he will suffer the consequences, but because at the age of 14 it should have been clear to him that not everyone has the same sexual preference. If only a parent, or a teacher would have talked to him, or if he had taken them seriously.
I feel for Larry's family. May his memory live on.

I am so sorry for your loss. It always sets me back how there can be so much hate in this world. Though your son was only on earth for a short time the impact he make around the world will keep him alive forever. Please be strong and continue to fight for acceptence for all people. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart breaks for Larry and his family I could not imagine being in their position. What is this world coming to when you cant even send your own kids to school anymore and trust that they are safe and taken care of by the ones that are supposed to be there for them. When we as parents can't. And I feel sorry for the children that are growing up in families that think this is perfectly normal and acceptable behavior. Cause in that kids lifetime. He was apparently told or led to believe it was ok to murder someone because they are different. I am just scared to know that if one of my children are gay when they get the age to understand and accept it.they could be murdered for it. Make sure no child ever grows up to think it is ok to bully or even murder someone because they may look act or dress differently than you. Larry and his family are in my thoughs and prayers. He is in a better place now where he is accepted. For who he is. And not labeled for what he may or may not be.
