My heart breaks for Larry and his family I could not imagine being in their position. What is this world coming to when you cant even send your own kids to school anymore and trust that they are safe and taken care of by the ones that are supposed to be there for them. When we as parents can't. And I feel sorry for the children that are growing up in families that think this is perfectly normal and acceptable behavior. Cause in that kids lifetime. He was apparently told or led to believe it was ok to murder someone because they are different. I am just scared to know that if one of my children are gay when they get the age to understand and accept it.they could be murdered for it. Make sure no child ever grows up to think it is ok to bully or even murder someone because they may look act or dress differently than you. Larry and his family are in my thoughs and prayers. He is in a better place now where he is accepted. For who he is. And not labeled for what he may or may not be.

Rest in Peace Larry. I am so sorry for what happened to you and your family and friends. You didn't deserve this. I hope that you are so happy where ever you are. Perhaps if something good can come out of your tragic death, its that there will be more awareness to hate crimes. Your life and death should be remembered and used as an example of how we all need to change the message that we are sending out about the rights of gay people. We are all equals, and you Larry, deserved better. I know that your sexuality was the least important thing about you, but I hope that your story will make a difference. It made a difference to me. Thank you for being yourself Larry. Im sorry that it wasn't a better world that you were born into. I believe where you are now is the perfect place, and you are happy and accepted. God bless.

I never knew Larry but im sure he was a very loving person. There was no reason for him to die because of his sexuality. He will be missed terribly. I would like to give my condolences to the King family.

Hello to all who are reading this: I had not heard of what happened to Lawrence until one day, I was sick, so I was watching the Ellen DeGeneres show, and she was talking about it. I was shocked, why would anyone kill for no reason other then that Larry was gay? I've been trying to figure out my sexuality until about 5 months ago, when I realized I was gay. On April 25th, I participated in the day of silence, and it moved me so much. And I hope Lawrence is happy up there.
