To the King and foster family of Larry King: I am so very very sorry to hear of your loss. I am so sad for you. It is a terrible thing for a parent to have to go through. My son is gay, and at the age of 22 died of suicide. I know he is in heaven and if you believe that is where Larry is than Brent is there too with him. I hope someday this hatered towards others will dissappear. My prayers are with Larry's family and Brandon's family too.

I want to express my deepest sympathy at the lost of your wonderful son.
I am a mother of 4 and cam accross this article about your son. I was horrified of what was done to him.
May our Lord be at Larry's side in heaven. God bless you

Although I am not gay and personally do not support that sexual orientation, I completely and absolutely hate that brutal and violent action was taken out on Larry. He is a human being, just as all of us are human, and just because he was "different" in a sense does not give anyone the right to have used excessive and extremely unnecessary violence against him.
My condolences to Larry's parents, and wishes for brighter days to come.

I am really moved by what had happened to Larry. I'll be praying for his family. I hope every human being be responsible in all of their actions. It was like the saying "don't do unto others, what others don't want you to do unto you". I believe God will certainly put His hands in everything that happens...

I am truly sorry for the lose. This tragedy came to my knowledge when my girlfriend was doing research for her college project. People, especially children, can be very cruel at times. But we, GLBT, have to stay stronge for each other. I feel as though any type of information, whether it seems like a joke or not, should not have been kept a secret. I give my condolences to another brother gone from the big family. LARRY, YOU WERE NEVER ALONE!!!
R.I.P. Larry King
Sincerely,

Thank you for sharing the story of Lawrence with us. I cannot understand what possesses people to hate those that are different from them. Individuals want freedom of speech but are quick to condemn those for exercising it...I applaud Larry for proudly walking to school with his head held high and his beliefs intact. Not many people stand behind their beliefs, especially as they get older, so it is reassuring to see such unwavering conviction in a 15-year old junior high student. I am 22-yrs old and deeply involved in diversity/multicultural orgs, as well as our university's gay/straight alliance group. My advice to those that are struggling with who they are: take a page out of Lawrence's book and live your life with no regrets--do not wish you could have made a difference, but make one. Don't be ashamed of being yourself. I believe the future will one day eliminate intolerance. One may see it as naivete, but I say it's open-mindedness. King family, you are in my thoughts.

To Larry's parents, I am very sorry to hear what happened to him. I think people need to think before they act. as long as we are not pushing ourselves on to other people we should be left alone. Sincerely, Jeffrey Alger

In my very conservative private school in Herhsey PA a substantial group of kids vowed to keep a day of silence in rememberance of Larry King. Our pricipal, initially supporting the occasion, threatened to punish children who took part in the "day of silence". Regardless, kids were quite, kids were supportive, and kids understood.
