To the parents and family of Larry, I am truly saddened to hear of this terrible crime against this wonderful child. As a member of the gay family, I also know what is is like to be afraid to let people know who I really am. I am a bisexual woman who has to hide my true identity from others for fear of riprisel or critisisim. I am so proud of Larry for telling everyone who he truly was, yet saddened that someone felt the need to end that light. My prayers for all of you go out and my hope is that this country will see that even in 2008, gays and lesbians still have to live in fear.

I cannot possibly express the sorrow I feel for the loss of this beautiful soul. I am overwhelmed. My prayers are with Larry's family and friends. I pray that out of sorrow will come good. I have no doubt that the day will come where hate is not tolerated, where hate is hated. I can only hope to do my part to bring it about. I am inspired by Lawrence King, his courage and willingness to live life in true freedom. It's in that spirit that we can all move toward a better, more peaceful place. Larry is with us. He always will be. His spirit lives on, in me.

We as America have not learned our rights to believe in what we want. But it takes such a tragedy to get people to open their eyes, it makes me cry daily. I am so sorry that such a life had to be spared. And there are no words to justify it. R.I.P. Larry...

Things like this utterly disgust me. I can not believe that there are human beings that feel they have the right to take another life. I think that people who do these kinds of things should be stripped of their rights, seems they took away someone else's right to live. I am truly sorry to all of his friends and family and I hope you all find peace. xoxo

My heart goes out to your family, Larry King. Though we never met, I mourn the loss. Your entire GLBT family mourns you. You, child, you are our hero.
