I am sure that Lawrence was a wonderful person, so in memory of him, my highschool is extending the "Day of Silence" into the next week ("Week of Silence") because he and his life deserves it. This silence will echo through-out the world and our voices will be heard because no one deserves what he recieved. "Love of life means hope for me..."

I think of how BRAVE Lawrence was to be himself. Such a STRONG young man. It is obvious he was a remarkable person and I send my wishes of healing to Lawrence's family and friends.

When I read about this, it made me feel really bad about what happened and how much harassment he endured. it makes me sick how some people would treat a homosexual. they are people too who should be able to live normal lives

I am distrought, in shock, terrified, and appauled that such a horrible crime could happen to such young people in America. Especially, since the crime happened due to ignorance and prejudice.. I speak as a gay man.. I heard of this incident from a segment on the ELLEN SHOW I found on youtube.com, the reaction/speech she gave is the same way I feel about how the WORLD (NOT just America).. It is NOT okay to judge or characterize/stereo-type others for ANY reason... Once again, I am saddened to hear this news and my heart goes out to the families DESTOYED over ignorance and prejudice..

I participated in the day of silence yesterday to honor Larry and friends of mine who are homosexual. What happened to Larry really shows how ignorant people can be. Rest in peace, Larry... you changed a lot of lives. <3
