Its a horribal thing, that 8th graders dont have enough acceptingness. Its worrse that they would kill someone for being different and being themselves. In memory of Larry me and my friends are partisipating in the silence. Hopes for a better future

Dont Forget!!! Today (April 25th) is National DOS(day of silence) and we have dedicated this years DOS to remembering Lawrence King. To Participate: Make a note explaining what happened to Larry. Then, be silent. And, when someone asks why, show them the note. I have done this all day so far, and got about 8 people to join in. Stop this from happening again! Participate in the National Day Of Silence!

I just heard of this terrible tragedy. I am a 33yr old Transexual and have lived this way for last 14yrs. I could not imagine a life where I would be shot for the way i live my life. I have always been open about myself and my heart goes out the Larry's family and friends for their loss. may god forgive the young man that committed this crime and may he remeber larry everyday of his life.

Although I did not know you, Larry, I was deeply touched by your story. It is so hard to face the reality that there are people out there that could perform such a horrible act. It is a little after midnight, so the day of silence has just begun. I am so glad that it is dedicated to you. I hope that you're looking down on us and seeing how many people truly care. To your family, I send my deepest sympathy. I can not even imagine a loss like the one your family is experiencing, but I hope that they know that so many of us are fighting to break the silence, and save people like you from having to face these things. Watching your video made me cry. You seemed to be such a beautiful person, I'm positive that you are greatly missed.

I am so sorry that this has happened and I wish someone could have been there to stop it from happening. I believe this was God's way of waking up our nation to show us that we should not tolerate actions such as this, and that we need to bind together as one and share our love for each other openly without any fear in our hearts. You, lawrence along with your family, are in my prayers and I will always remember you, though I've never met you. You have changed my life. Your spirit will guide myself among others to live a life hate-free.

I did not know Larry, but I am deeply saddened by what happened to him. It's so unfair. Last year I was too scared to do the day of silence, as people where I live don't really accept that kind of thing, but this year I'm going to do it in honor of him and other young gay people that have been hurt or killed during school.
