Just yesterday there was a shooting at El Rio the city just across the bridge from oxnard a 13 year old boy shot in the head. This made me remember about Larry. It's still so hard to think about this. It's still so hard for me that this happened in my own neighborhood, my community. Every person in this town changed. I remember when he was sent to the hospital the news crew were just outside of my house, just across the block and I watched and waited to hear if he was ok. It's just so hard to hear that this little boy was shot just because he was gay. I'm so sorry Larry. I wish that I knew you more before all this happened. Its been months since you have been gone and I know your parents and everyone eles misses you. R.I.P.

I only hope that his death would not be pointless, that in death, he can serve a purpose. Larry was a homosexual, and he was killed because of it. When fifteen year olds are killing each other out of hate and fear such as this, it's a sign to the world that something needs to be done. LGBT communities, we all need to rally together and support each other. We need to show the "straight" world that our lifestyles are no more wrong or immoral than theirs are, and that we CAN live together in harmony, tolerance and acceptance. Rest in Peace, Lawrence King. We will fight on your behalf, and in your memory.

I am deeply saddened by your loss;Larry was obviously a loving boy and you a caring family. What a shame it is that Brndon came from a family and environment that was obviously so cruel, ignorant and cowardly.

when i heard that larry was killed i was in shock because this happened in a middle school. if it happened in a middle school it can happen in a high school. i fear for my friends lives. this can be one of them.parents need to teach their children that being gay is not a crime. larry ws a child whos life was cut short because of the ignorance of another student and his parents.this is not fare and the youth needs to stand up a say something about this. we are the only ones that can stop this madness!!!!!!<3 =x

I personally did not know this beautiful young child, but when i heard his story i felt ashamed for the family of the other young child, no matter what the situation neither family deserved something like this. My heart goes out to the victims family, your son will be in my prayers. I do wish the family all the best and I pray all goes well from hear on out.

Lawrence King may you R.I.P Now that you have it at the cost of your life. May your spirit feel at peace now. Im glad I found this on Facebook I didn't see it covered on the News on the day or anytime after it. I am a lesbian an it makes me angry to know another LGTBQ community member was killed all because he is GAY. When are we going to learn an teach our Elders and Children it is OK to be different we live in the year 2008. To treat people the way we want to be treated by them. We have to many people co-exsisting in society that make it there job to make our lives as MISERABLE as they can. NOBODY likes to be picked on so WHY DO WE do it. We need to take a good look at ourselves what are you scared of finding out, that we don't know ourselves as well as we thought we did. Something to say find a way to Let IT OUT an Get if Off your chest. Start thinking about your Actions so the Victim,Victims families & Society don't have to put up with the Consequence's of your ACTIONS.
