I only recently heard about Larry and I am grieved for your loss and the world's loss of this young man. I have to say I have two daughters in their early 20's who are gay. From the moment I knew my desire was to affirm them and love them for the beautiful young women they are. They too have undergone harrassment and of course not to this devastating extreme. I just want to say how sorry I am that the world is so ignorant and so hateful. Larry had every right to be who he was and have the best in life. It is my goal to educate, stand up for, and support the GLBT community in my circle of influence. I want my daughters to be able to someday get married, live in a world where they are not considered devient, etc. etc. I could go on for ever, but my real reason for writing is to just simply express my love and support for your tragic inexcusable loss.

The loss of this boy struck a chord in the hearts of me and my friends. We held a service of our own in my town. The same thing happened to one of my friends but he was not recognized like this. God bless you.

I've got tears in my eyes. I looked up this boy's story after I saw his picture on a day of silence website, and I'm horrified. That could have been any one of us. Such a beautiful boy, and he had so much left to live for... I'll be sure that on Day of Silence, it won't just be about me, or my friends... it'll be about him, too.

What a tragic loss to the family. I first heard this on the news & couldn't bring myself to listen. Parents need to teach their kids better. I am childless because I can't handle hurt.comic sans

I had only heard about him a couple days ago. And I was broken. It made me want to get up at the right second and do something, anything. How wrong it was for something to just be taken away like this. I want you to know Larry, that I and my friends are putting out best effort to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. Rest In Peace

There is no exuse for what happened to Larry. He deserved a full life and it was taken away from him because of hate and ignorance. I'm deeply saddened by the loss of such a brave young individual. I hope we will soon reach a time where people can live as they are and be themselves without suffering because of ignorance.

i heard about this on t.v. and this made me very sad. this was so unacceptable. no 1 deserves to die just becuase of their sexual orientation. i can say that i know what you're going through becuase i cant. but my older sister is gay and if she ever died from a hate crime; i would go CRAZY! i pray for larry and his family
