Last night 4/3/08 at 10pm I attended a vigil in honor of your beloved son and those others who have been tragicly taken from this life through fear and hatered. As Martin Luther King stated that "Bad things happen when good people do nothing" I will chose to do something. I am only one small voice but I will seek others and the voice will grow we will be heard. May you find peace somehow and trust in love that it will crush the hate of others.

Besides to be seemingly nice, genuine, and sweet, Larry King was also a very handsome young man.

Larry's tragic end inspires me to finally write a message concerning gay rights. I am gay myself, and also a minor the same age as Larry. He is only a few months older than I. I am not open about my sexuality. It is not a choice, and I know that firsthand. But Larry had the courage and strength to be true to himself, and it is something people who knew him should be proud of. Larry never denied who he was. He seemed to be honest and open about everything in his personal life. This senseless act has made me realise that people like Larry and myself all over the world face prejudice every day. Larry confronted those things head on, whereas I don't have the courage to yet. But events like these give me the inspiration to go out and be true to myself. Just like Larry did.

I Heard About What Had Happened About A Month Ago During A GSA Meeting At My Highschool. My Heart Nearly Broke At Such A Thought Of Someone Being So Cruel As To Shoot Someone Point Blank For Being Gay. I'm Open About Being Bisexual, And I Fight Tooth An Nail Against The Stereotypes Against Lebians, Transys, Gays, And Everyone Else. My Best Friends Are Straight, But They Still Love Me. Why? Because I'm A Person, Just Like They Are. Thats The Whole Thing That Bugs Me About Hate Crimes. We're People Too. We Have Feelings. We're No Different Then Anyone Else, Just We Have Different Interests. I Wish I Had Gotten A Chance To Meet Lawrence, I Think We Could've Been Good Friends, And I'm So Very Sorry That He Was One Of The People Caught Up In One Of America's Hate Crimes Against Gays. Best Of Wishes, Varah

Larry's death shows how blind our schools have been with respect to homophobia. Educators are supposed to teach kids tolerance, acceptance and love towards all beings! They are not doing their part. Perhaps, they have a long way to go themselves! Larry, your passing will not pass; it will speak louder than words! Pax

My heart goes out to Larry's loved ones. Although no words can stop the pain and loss you feel, please know that the newspaper photos of Larry's beautiful smile and the story of his senseless death touched the hearts of many, many people. We hold him and all of you in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless and watch over each of you, and may He heal your hearts and those of Brandon and his family. May this tragedy help us learn to live in peace and to celebrate life, regardless of how different we may think we are from each other. It is our uniqueness that gives life meaning, beauty and joy. I]“The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.”

a moment ago I saw the memorial video at dailymotion. This horrible event wasn't in the news over here in The Netherlands, i'm sorry to say. I'm really shocked something like this could happen. They are so young, both, Larry and the killer. My condolences go out to Larrys family and Friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your son had an amazing life ahead of him. It's such a shame that hate and intolerance ruined that for him. Now we'll never know him. I'll keep Larry and his family in my thoughts.
