Larry should not have been murdered. Nobody deserves his fate. Nobody. Every single soul is so beautiful and so precious. How could someone take a soul? Steal a life? This is appalling. A boy, a sweet boy, loved somebody. And just for that they took his life. It doesn't matter who we love or why we love them. Love, in itself, loving another human, is beautiful. Love can save the world if we are not afraid to hide it. Larry was not afraid to hide his love.
It is only tragic that the most peaceful people on Earth meet the most violent ends.
I am so sorry for what happened to Larry and to other people like him.

This is such a tragedy that this child had to die because of a lack of tolerance for who he was. Its incredibly tragic in so many ways... so many, many lives destroyed by hate. I can only pray that god gives you the strength & courage to overcome this tragedy.
Please continue to look for that silver lining because its there... alot of lives were changed by Larry's death bot only those in his immediate circle but hundreds of thousands of lives around the world were changed because finally people are being made to see the terrible tragedies that hatred brings.
Larry will live on forever in the hearts of those who his story touch & in the minds of those who continue to fight for equality for ALL. He will never be lost.
But don't forget that Brandon was also a victim in this in our world where we teach our children hate. Pray that he gets the help he needs and learns that being different doesn't make someone less of a human being and condemn them to death.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.I'm 21 and I'm a lesbian, I understand what it's like to feel hated. When I heard the story I was shocked. I can't understand how people can be so cruel sometimes. I know that god will help you through this. Leave everything in his hands.

We must change the message especially for our youth to let them know that it is OK to be Gay! Mark is so loved - and Love never dies .... it expands to fill the whole of Creation. Let us continue that Love forever!

I'm writing this as a mother. and as I think of the King family losing their deeply precious and beautiful child, I can't stop crying. And as I think of the terrible hatred and violence that took Larry's life, I am so afraid for all of our children and what lies ahead for them. I worry not only for the victims of this terrible hatred, but for the perpetrators as well. Parents NEED to do more to instill respect and tolerance as core family values. No matter our creed, income, color or political stripe, these values need to be as basic to a child's upbringing as ABC's and 123's. God, please help us in this endeavor. Thank you.

The pictures of him when he was little - he looks a lot like my son, who is 4. This just breaks my heart to think that someone's beautiful boy was taken from them because of ignorance and fear. I wish I knew how to protect my own son, and everyone else's child, from this kind of hatred.
