I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful child. I wish there was a way to end all prejudice that exists in this world. Just remember that as long as you have your love for him in your heart he will always be here.

I've just learned of Larry today. You have my deepest sympathies for your loss, and I share your outrage at the tragic circumstances of his murder. At least now Larry is where there is only love, and the Lord holds your boy in His own arms.
All we can hope is that Larry's death will not be in vain, because it will alert parents to educate their children better about tolerance, and that violence is the worst way to deal with your fear or anger. When the day comes that another child's life is spared because of that kind of education, then Larry's death will be avenged, and his life will be celebrated. I pray for you and for all parents that the day will come quickly.

God Bless your wonderful family and of course Larry's spirit and soul. I never knew him but what has been written he was an amazing young man. May GOD continue to bless the King Family and I hope that ignorance and hatred would be replaced by love and compassion for humankind. We are all gifts from God and this only validates that people from around the world are touched and moved by this tragic tragic un-neccessary killing of a human being. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!

I just read about Larry's story in the newspaper and was moved to tears by the tradegy of this situation. Living in such a tolerant place as San Francisco, I sometimes lose sight of just how horrific fear and hatred and ignorance can be. I'm saddended by the loss of this beautiful young man and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Peace.

I see my children in Larry's sweet face, and can only imagine the pain and loss his family and friends are enduring.
I hope we can remember to cherish every child. We never know what potential a child has, and we must behave as though every child has greatness within. This dear child could have been great, and was a special light in the lives of his family and friends.
To the family, obviously you cherished this child, which means that he felt your love. While hatred, intolerance, and misunderstanding took him from you, you gave him a good life. I hope your hearts will heal with all the loving good you experienced with Larry.
I grieve the loss of Larry King, another kid who just wanted to be himself, like every other kid. His spirit lives on in others, and hopefully, in time, our culture will evolve to the point where violence in response to harmless expression will be unthinkable. I have hope for the future, but future, please come soon.

Dear King family,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss, the hated Larry faced is unacceptable and should never have happend. He had his whole life ahead of him, he would have done great things with his pride. Hopefully this will never happen again, no one should have to lose a child so young. Especialy because of his sexuality, its terryfying what people can do. I hope people learn from this and realize how big of a problem homophobia is.
Larry will always be remembered for his bravery and soul.
Sincerely,
Sam

I remember seeing this on Ellen and just crying because of it. This is so senseless. I have 2 teenage boys and I hope that I am raising them better than the boy who did this. I hope you as a family can find some kind of peace.
