I remember seeing this on Ellen and just crying because of it. This is so senseless. I have 2 teenage boys and I hope that I am raising them better than the boy who did this. I hope you as a family can find some kind of peace.

I came across a story on Larry online today, and my heart just broke. It so sad and horrible that a child was killed, and even worse for the reason behind it. My thoughts and blessings are with your family and with Larry.

On behlaf of my family and I we leave our utmost and sincerest condolences. It apalls me that there is so much hate in this world, I am the daughter of two lesbian parents and have a stepson who is the exact same age as Larry, the feelings of sadness are overwheling as it is awful to lose a child, but also encounter hate for being who you are as an individual. I send you hugs and blessings and Larry is in the arms of the lord. god bless.

As a gay man who also had a very rough upbringing, it's very easy for me to understand how this could happen. In retrospect it's a wonder that I survived a youth full of taunting and physucal abuse from my peers. I never had the option of even "acting straight" because of being effeminate. When people say that being gay is a choice I just laugh with disgust because NO ONE would choose to go through what I did and what Larry did. My heart goes out for his family and for those other gay teens who have to fight way harder just to survive the basics in life, like walking to the store in fear of being beat. Stay strong and never stop fighting adversity. Hatred, fear and ignorance most of all, kill.

My prayers and sympathy go out to the family. May God give you strength to carry on. And to teach others tolerance. May God hold your beloved Larry close to Him.
