To Larry's family and friends,
I am deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of your child. He was a beautiful boy and he will not be forgotten. My prayers are with you and yours in this sad time.

I am so devastated to hear about the tragic loss of this precious person. It is so shameful to our society that we still produce the needless hatred that can lead some to commit such heinous acts. I can only hope that the loss of Larry will not be in vain and that increasing change for the better in our society will come out of his life and death. The single greatest thing that anyone can do for Larry now, is to BE part of that change. If you support the institutions that foster anger, hatred, or fear of gay people, change that. If you are already open and accepting of gay people, be an open (even outspoken) example of that to help change the hearts and minds of others. There are currently religious organizations that thrive on anger and intolerance toward gay people and equal rights for them, and even a mainstream political party with such anti-equality for gay people as part of their party's platform. Take their power away until they STOP perpetuating this intolerance.

I pray that you can find comfort with the Lord. My condolences on the sudden and violent murder of your son. Please know that the whole world has heard of your loss and is outraged.
Let the love that Larry had carry you forward.

Choices, yes we have plenty of those during our life time. Many are not easy to make, almost impossible to live with at times. But live we must. Larry's choice was to be who and what he was, he did not choose to be a transgender, he may not even have known if he was a transgender, from what I understand, he was exploring himself, learning himself. He was a smart young person, as well as beautiful, I will always wonder what he would have grown up to do with his life in this world. My prayers and thoughts are always with him and his family. He has left such an impact on myself and others, that millions of lives have never done just because someone filled with hate/fear made the wrong choice. You do not decide what you are, you do decide how to live with it.
