I just wanted to let you know that I have heard and seen this and that it cannot leave my mind. Yet another child- yet another dream of the future- is dead. And I am so sorry for your loss. But his courage amazes me. At his age I could never have told a boy I liked that he was my Valentine. And I am a straight woman. To have gotten over his fear of rejection through the homophobia that is impossible to ignore- is an inspiration. I hope that this website is a comfort to you.

My heart goes out to the family of Lawrence King. Your loved one died way too soon, and may peace and blessings be with all of those who loved this beautiful human being. During this time of bereavement, remember his life and all of us need to be aware that kids are kids no matter who they are. We need to love and cherish them while they are here. We all need to stand up for our kids. They are all we have. Let's honor Larry's memory by getting involved and putting an end to kids being treated horribly for who they are. God bless you, King family.

this demonstrates once again that people just can't accept other people for who they are. my thoughts and prayers are with Larry's family as they go through this tragic time in their lives. maybe this will serve as a reminder of the hatred thats directed towards LGBT people and maybe something will be done about it.

To the Family: Words cannot express what you must be going through. I am so saddened and upset my what has happened. I will not let him die in vain, this incident has caused me to be more aware of the hate that is out there. I am now becoming a gay activist fighting for gay rights and all human rights. GOD BLESS YOU. I KNOW LARRY IS IN A BETTER PLACE.

I am so sorry forere are your loss. There are really NO words that can be spoken or writen that can take away these feelings of hurt. Know that with you continued faith in god and the blessing of the community, that you will eventually get throught this. I want to leave one last remark. Think of your son or cousin, grandson or friend as a advocate. An angel, God put everyone on this earth for a purpose and Larry has fulfilled his. Love everyone around you just as hard as he loved you. P.S. Be true to yourself always. Sincerely, Tawanda
