my condolences to the family of larry. i cannot imagine what it feels like to lose a child, especially in these circumstances. he did not deserve what happened. he seemed so innocent, so young. i can't believe it. he is in heaven now where god accepts him. he is free from all judgement. rip

I am so sorry for your loss. I only wish I could have known such a brave little man. He knew who he was and no one could take that away from him!! Just know that he is watching and will always be that person; happy , caring, and perfect!!
God bless!!

Larry's situation reminds me of myself as a kid, so much so that it's eerie in some ways. At my age (33), you would have thought that protections for LGBT children would be in place. It comes as a shock to me that that's not the case. Increasingly, LGBT folk are getting more exposure, but the legal system is slow to catch up. Sadly, it takes cases like these that really affect people before they change their ideology.
Larry, I know that your family and friends will be missing you. May they never let the candle burn out.

I am infinitely sorry. There is no excuse, reason, or justice in this. I personally admire Larry for being brave enough to express himself and am ashamed to be a part of a species that could hurt him for being what he was born to be. All my love to Larry and his family, friends, and all who knew him. This is truly devastating and so unjust. It is beyond my imagination how a parent could raise a child to hate and I am truly sorry that this type of discrimination exists in the world. My heart aches for Larry and his family. I hope that he can be remembered as an amazing, strong, and worthy individual.

My deepest sympanthies to the family of Lawrence King. Your pain is not only felt with you, but everyone who has lost a child to violence. I pray for a world where tolerance triumphs over hatred.
My God go with you all.

What a beautiful, courageous soul. I dream of the day that we can all be ourselves, fully and without consequence. Lawrence has touched many lives, thank you for allowing everyone to share on this site. He sounds like an amazing young person.
May peace be with you!

When I read this about to log on to downelink, I had to say it really disturbed me and brought tears to my eyes. People are killing people because of who they choose to be. I thought the world was gaining more knowledge and understanding, I guess I was wrong. Larry may you remain in all of our minds, today me and my friends and probaly a lot of others that are members on downelink make even a bigger stand against discrimination because of you. Rest in peace little buddy.
