I am infinitely sorry. There is no excuse, reason, or justice in this. I personally admire Larry for being brave enough to express himself and am ashamed to be a part of a species that could hurt him for being what he was born to be. All my love to Larry and his family, friends, and all who knew him. This is truly devastating and so unjust. It is beyond my imagination how a parent could raise a child to hate and I am truly sorry that this type of discrimination exists in the world. My heart aches for Larry and his family. I hope that he can be remembered as an amazing, strong, and worthy individual.

My deepest sympanthies to the family of Lawrence King. Your pain is not only felt with you, but everyone who has lost a child to violence. I pray for a world where tolerance triumphs over hatred. My God go with you all.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Larry's family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. There is so much ignorance and hate in this world...I hope that one day it can all come to an end.

What a beautiful, courageous soul. I dream of the day that we can all be ourselves, fully and without consequence. Lawrence has touched many lives, thank you for allowing everyone to share on this site. He sounds like an amazing young person. May peace be with you! With gracious wishes, Bobbi

When I read this about to log on to downelink, I had to say it really disturbed me and brought tears to my eyes. People are killing people because of who they choose to be. I thought the world was gaining more knowledge and understanding, I guess I was wrong. Larry may you remain in all of our minds, today me and my friends and probaly a lot of others that are members on downelink make even a bigger stand against discrimination because of you. Rest in peace little buddy.

God bless your family during this very difficult time. Please know that there are many of us who were immediately brought to tears at the news. You will be in my prayers. God created everyone in His image and likeness....that means everyone!!

It is imparative that we teach our children to respect each other along with our differences that makes each of us a unique person. I feel so sad for the loss of this young person's life. Hopefully this tragedy will bring attention and awareness to the vital need for us all to practice mutual respect, which will help other young people facing similar hardships as those Larry endured.

I did not know Larry, and it is difficult to imagine the heartache felt by his loved ones. I believe his short life will be remembered and in the hearts of many. I know I will never forget him. My hope is that we all learn and teach the truth of love, compassion, tolerance, peace, acceptance, and forgiveness. It seems like Larry demonstrated that love and truth in his young life. I would like to live my life by his example. The hatred that Larry experienced could happen to any of our children. Larry inspires me to learn and appreciate love and peace. My heart goes out to all those involved.
