Never said this on here because there's much more to me than this, but I'm not a second class citizen myself and my heart goes out to this young man...I didn't have nearly as much courage as him at his age and his short life will not go unforgotten in mine! I'll do all I can to make a difference and live my life so that his is honored.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Larry. I can not imagine what you are feeling and coping with, but I can try to understand. I have talked openly with my children about acceptance of all people, including those who are gay. My sister is gay and my children love their aunt just as she is because she is family. I love her too, and her wife. I am sad, though, when I find myself worrying about her safety. It is so wrong that any person risks their life just by being honest about who they are. My thoughts are with all of Larry's family and friends. I am glad that you have all of those lovely, special photos of him, and thank you for sharing those photos on this site. He is a beautiful young man.

I heard the story on Ellen and my heart goes out to the family. I'm proud of Lawrence being brave enough at such a young age to accept who he was and not be ashamed of it. I didn't have the courage at that age. It's a terrible tragedy that his life was cut so short. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I didn't know Larry, and I can't imagine the pain felt by his loved ones. I hope that Larry will be remembered for the courage he showed to be himself; that he stood up and said that he was not ashamed of who he was. May you rest in peace, Larry, we are all proud of you.

It made me sick just to think about how senseless this was. How someone could take another's life over something so trivial is disgusting.

I just heard of this story today when my friend forwarded me the clip from the Ellen Show. As I started looking up articles and reading, I couldn't hold back the hurt I felt for his Family. My condolences, thoughts, and prayers goes to Larry's family and freinds. Just like Mathew Sheppard, Larry will remain in my heart forever. We can only pray that Tolerance and Understanding will come with time, but that time will never be soon enough for those faced with these kind of tragedies.

We promiseto continue to discuss with our family and friends the importance of inclusion and equality and to continue to lead them through our own positive examples.
We encourage others to not teach tolerance but to enstill in our children love, peace and acceptance.
Our hearts break for everyone involved and we truly send our deepest condolences to all.

I was shocked and deeply saddened reading about Larry. It is unacceptable that we live in a world where children still think that being gay is such a scary thing. We need to teach our children acceptance and understanding and teach them that everyone is equal.
