Another brave angel in heaven. May the young boy responsable for Larry's death come to realise what he has done.

My heart breaks for yet another young life lost. It is the responsibility of society to teach our children tolerance. It is time for parents to stand up and say this is not ok. I hope this little boy's life and death finally make people take notice to what is happening in this world. The ignorance, hatred, and false beliefs need to stop.
To Larry's family I am deeply sorry for your loss. It is unimaginable that a child dies, but for such a reason is truly heartwrenching. Heaven has a new little angel. May he rest in peace.

it really saddens me to hear about this happen... im almost 19 now and am at the point in my life where im tryna figure myself out as well. This situation here is what makes me scared to be so open about it.
I commend him for his courage and wish i was courageous enough to come out like him. It's so sad to know that we live in a country that is "land of the free and home of the brave" but can't be truley open about who we are without things like this happening.
I am very sorry for your loss

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Kids here in Chatham are encouraged to make Valentines for *all* their classmates because when they are young it is about feeling included and not about sexual innuendo. Canada has come a long way but in all things we still have a long way to go. My heart goes out to everyone involved and hope that purpose and strength will be granted.

I'm so sorry for your loss. There aren't words to explain how sad I am. I was just listening to the song American Idiot and I guess there are plenty of them around.

It is such a tragedy when something like this happens to an innocent child. How can someone raise a child with such hate towards another person. We must teach tolerance in our schools because if something like this can happen then they are not learning it at home. God created Larry perfect..just as he was. When asking God why or how please understand that God gave us free-will, even if that will is evil. God did not "allow" this to happen. The only one to blame is Brandon and possibly the people who instilled the belief in him that it is okay to kill someone if they are not "like" him. Maybe Brandon's parents are as apalled as we all are. I don't know. I couldn't live with myself if my child committed such a hate filled act. I pray for Larry's family that they will trust that God is taking care of him and loving him unconditionally. What a beautiful young man. It's no excuse but maybe Brandon was abused as a young child and he didn't know how to handle Larry's feelings. Tragedy.

It is truly sad that, in a country that is supposed to have it's foundation in freedom and enlightenment, such a thing should happen. That children should be so filled with such hate, that they take another's life just because of who he is. I can only say to the family that my thoughts are with you at this time of darkness and that I hope and pray that in his martyrdom he will shine as a beacon to guide those still ignorant souls to enlightenment and away from the road of biggotry and hate.
