i never knew larry, and i only came across this website via stumble upon.com. however, i had a very hard time coming to terms with my homosexuality in my teenage years. i was always fearful for my safety, and i now realize how truly blessed i am to have never had anything like this happen to myself or friends. there are no words to express the injustice of cutting short a life with such potential. you and your loved ones will be in my thoughts.

Such a beautiful boy, we are all thinking of you. If you were still with us you'd be my age now, it's such a shame. Hope you're having fun up there.

My heart goes out to the family of Larry for this horrific tragedy. I have recently become aware of this terrible event and want to say there is and will never be any sort of excuse for what has happened to Larry. I send Peace, Love and Happiness to all those moved by this tragedy. Larry, although I never knew you, your story and your face will forever remain in my heart.

Larry will live on in vivid memories for those that knew & loved him. I did not know him, but his brief time here on earth should not be in vain. If what happened to him saves another human being from the same violence that cut short his precious life then so much the better.

Larry was born when I was a freshman at Santa Margarita Catholic High in Orange County. I was not out at the time but endured a lot of anti-gay hate due to being effiminate. Homophobia was rampant at that school. That's pretty hypocritical for a school that claimed to have such a loving environment. While I certainly was never shot at and murdered, it took me a lot of therapy to realize that all the harassment was not a statement about me, but a statement about them. If they hated me that much for seeming to be gay and not knowing me at all, that's their problem.
I'm so sad that Larry never got to see that life gets so much better after junior high and high school end. Nobody should have to go through what he went through. I hope Brandon will be brought to justice for doing this.

Larry seemed like such a sweet boy. He had a beautiful face and I'm pretty sure he had a beautiful spirit to match. No one deserves to die simply because of their sexual orientation. It is heart breaking to know that this young man is dead simply because he expressed the way he felt. I never had the chance to meet him but I am mourning the death of him, though I am quite late. Now he is in heaven and he's able to be himself without being in fear of people judging him. Fly on, sweet angel, fly on. My condolences go to his family and close friends.
