My deepest condolences go out to Larry’s family, friends and loved ones. A life taken way TOO soon and all due to hate! Kids killing kids, I just don’t understand it, Kids are NOT born with these beliefs and ideas – we need change! This violence has to stop! Larry has touched millions of people and he will not be forgotten. You are in my thoughts… Nic xoxo

It was with great shame and sorrow that I learned of the circumstances of the death of this young boy. Both my husband and I are shocked that something like this should happen to any child, let alone to a child in a middle school in our quiet city. To have another child commit this act upon Larry defies description. It is hate and unfounded fear that killed Larry, and what we need is more tolerance in an increasingly intolerant world, lest more of these tragedies play out. To Larry's family and friends, we share your devastation and dismay. Let us all learn from this travesty and pledge to further tolerance and love above all else.

I have to say I am sorry for your loss. I heard about this recently from the members of Rainbow Alliance at from St. Louis University where I attend. As a gay man myself I am truly appalled by what has happened and offer my condolences to what has happened to you and to Lawrence. Many blessings.

I am so sorry for your loss. Good WILL come from this terrible event, somehow, someway, GOOD WILL PREVAIL and Larry's death will not be in vain. I pray that God brings peace and hope to your family. Love,

I was made aware of this tragic event through the Ellen show. Although I am not gay, I do believe that people have a right to be gay and live in peace. God bless Larry's family and friends.

Little friend, you are gone and the pain of your loss will resound through many for some time to come. This complex and sometimes difficult life obviously did not treat you well but somewhere on the other side you are living beyond any of our means. God Speed little one.
