Words are inadequate to express to Larry's family and friends loss. All I know for sure: The world is a better place BECAUSE of Larry having been here, and his message will live on; Hate is WRONG. Always. And Larry was, and still is, only about LOVE. My heart cries for him and will never forget.

My condolences to your entire family...it is an outrage that people are still being persecuted for their sexual orientation. As parents, we must speak out and stop the violence against our children. God bless all of you, I will keep you in my prayers.

This is when we stand up and speak out! This young man had more guts and love of life than most people. Look into his eyes, that's all of our kids... I will talk about him again this week on my weekend radio show and I will be at two of the candlelight vigils..

It is my hope that you can feel this collective hug being sent to you from around the world and know that that is the love you are getting back from the son that you lost. His energy is in all of us now and we want you to feel it as you read these posts. My heart is heavy but is has also been changed and I will make sure that others I come in contact with receive a bit of Larry's love. Bless you in your healing journey.

I am deeply saddened & disturbed that yet another gay child has been murdered; however, I am not surprised. Many in our society do not look past other's differences & often feel somehow threatened by someone different than them. Many do not perceive other's identity as "normal" (straight/non-transgendered); therefore, it somehow shakes their core. THis young man, another young man, has died by the hands of bigotry, hate & fear. I live in a rural small town & it scares me to hear some of my community members speak of "others" as less-than & w/ contempt. My thoughts are w/ Larry's family, true friends & the caring people of the GLBT community. Although he lives far from me, Larry King has made a great impact on my life & my continued belief that Hate Crimes must be fought by all, gay, lesbian, trans, straight, religious, Atheist, Democrats, Republicans... Seek comfort in each other-- Larry's friends & family must speak for him now. Don't whisper, speak loudly, proudly & without fear.

I am very sorry for the loss you and your family are experiencing. As a gay man, I remember the experience of being in middle school and being taunted for being gay and I know intimately what his experience was. But I feel your son stood for a purpose and completed his mission on this planet. Remember him by his courage and bravery.

larry you were a strong young man may god bless you and keep you safe in his arms for now and forever hopefully in all this tragedy there is a message that people have the right to be who they are without prejudice and judgement i had a uncle who was gay best uncle a girl could ask for but he also felt ashamed of who he was because of society and what they feel is right or wrong i hope out of your death there will be a message of acceptance and no more hatred towards the gay and lesbian people of this world thanks larry for being who you were
