My condolences for your loss. From the slide show it's apparent he was a beautiful and beloved boy. From the stories in the papers, it's apparent he had a courageous heart. May his spirit live on in your hearts.

To the family: a balm for your loss. To readers of the guestbook: I am frightened of what happened because years ago, it could have been me that gave a valentine to a boy (when I was in school). Or it could happen to my children one day for having two gay dads. I spend too much time trying to avoid "angering" straight men by lowering my eyes and not communicating (however subtly) that I find them attractive. But it isolates me and erodes my sense of self worth. So my wish for all is an end to this fear. I wish that people will accept affection from any source without hatred for the one offering it.

I really do not know what to say. May God rest your sweet soul. May your family and friends find comfort and peace in the Lord. May those of us left behind find a way to love and accept everyone inspite of their sexual orientation. May your journey in the earthly life have not been in vain. God's eternal blessings....

Oh, God. My heart breaks for this darling boy who did nothing but be himself and dare to love. I can't stop crying. If this is not enough of a message for parents, teachers, administrators, and anyone in a position of power to unequivocally without fail or excuse eradicate the seeds of hatred, then I don't know what is. An innocent child was murdered in vain. It is time we do something about this deadly epidemic.
Rest in perfect peace, Larry, you beautiful, special boy. May angels lead you in.

I'm so sad to hear of what happened to Larry. It's so wrong and inexcusable. These hate crimes must stop and I'm so sorry that Larry was a victim of one of them. Larry's family and friends will be in my thoughts and heart. Rest in sweet peace, Larry.

I just heard about this terrible tragedy on Ellen. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I am so sorry that our world still not has accepted gay people. Larry is in a better place now where nobody will judge him.

There are no words, and time heals no wounds. I wish you strength and courage, just the same Larry had to speak his mind and be a wonderful strong young man. You and your family and friends will be in my prayers.
