Hi! i dont know you or anything but when i got an email from glsen i wanted to know what happened. so now the day of silence for my school will be an event for your son. my prayers are for you and your family. As i read about Larry I thought "wow. this guy would be a guy that would be like my best friend.". As i continue to read on Lawrence sounds like an awesome guy and was really brave. I will definately keep my thoughts for him. I'll continue to pray for the family and friends.

It still amazes me to see what people are capable of. When something like this happens, to a child, BY a child, it really begs the question, "What kind of values were taugh to this child?" While I believe that children should be held accountable for their actions, I often wonder what kind of fear and loathing was taugh to this boy, to make him lash out at Larry like he did. I hope that everyone who hears of this story reaches out to their own children to let them know that it is NOT okay to react violently, regardless of the situation. I will keep Larry in my prayers, along with your entire family. Know that Larry is not alone in Heaven. Matthew Shepherd is there to help him along. God Bless!

Dear King Family, My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. America is deeply saddened by the loss of Larry's precious life. Larry is a hero for not being afraid to show the world who he really was. He was more of a man than most men can ever hope be!

Hello little one:
I'm really sorry you had to pay the consequences of this cruel and ignorant society we live in.
At the same time I'm glad to know you are sleeping peacefully where no one can touch you, humiliate you or make you feel ashamed of who you are since
there was nothing for you to feel ashamed about; no matter what your preference was.
May God welcome an innocent boy like Larry into his glory.
As a society we should all remember and act upon this quote:

I did not know your child, however I do want to express my sincere sympathy for your unimaginable loss. To love someone is not a crime and such pure feelings should only be celebrated.
