My thoughts and prayers are with Lawrence's family and friends. I was truly moved emotionally today upon hearing about the senseless loss of this young boy.

I could not imagine losing a child to such senseless hatred. I am so truly sorry for you and your family. It is so very scary to realize that school, a place that I once considered a "safe place" is now one of my biggest fears for my 4 year old. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I'm sure he was a handsome, loving boy who held your heart and I wish there he was here so you could hold him. I am so, so heartbroken as no parent should have to outlive their own children. God bless! XOXO

I am so sorry that this has happened and I can not begin to understand. This does not boil down to one child's mental problems. It boils down to society's mentality. This behavior of violence and ignorance is being taught at home. There are so many children that except each other and then there are just as many that do not understand individuality. If someone took my child's life due to the fact that she was just being herself. How could I go on? She is my life. I am so sorry for your life lost. The King family will be in my prayers and heart. I see how much he was loved at home and now you know how much the world loves him too.

So sad to hear of this tragic loss. No one can tell me that we are teaching our children to hate someone whose different. We need to stop the madness and let everyone live in peace, however they choose. God bless this young man's family and may you find peace in your memories of Larry.

I am so sorry for your loss and for how Larry had to suffer due to the ignorance of his peer. He was a beautiful child and after viewing the slideshow, it is obvious how much he was loved. My thoughts are with him and with those who loved him.

I wish that I had the ability to have the strength that he had. I didn't come out till I was 27 because I was afraid. I wish he had the opportunity that I have now to be 40 and be strong and gay and happy and proud.
Love to all who loved him.

To the King family--
you and your loved ones are in my prayers. i cant even comprehend the pain you must be experiencing. it is a sad thought that this can go on with children of such a young age. My heart is extended to you all, and i hope you find comfort in knowing that Lawrence will always be in your thoughts, and in your hearts. Lawrence had the courage, and the strength to be exactly who he was, and we can all learn a valuable lesson from him. he was much more wise beyond his years, more that he probably realized.
