I was a sophmore in college, pres of my univ gay org the yr of Larry's murder. My last act as pres was to honor him for Day of Silence. It was a very hard day for all of us. We strove to make the day a day in rememberance of children who had lost their lives to bigotry. I stepped down at the end of that event. It was all too emotionally rending. I watched Valentine Road today and listened to the prosecutor say your death was in vain. No, you should not have died but how wrong she was!! Larry Fobes King touched lives around the country and the world over. Larry King lived!! He lived his truth and that is more than most men. I want to do something to hinor his memory. Le sigh. For now, I'll just leave this note. Sending positivity and strength to your family and surviving friends and classmates.

My heart breaks hearing your story. Rest in Paradise young King...may you continue to touch many lives and teach from above acceptance and love. Your tragedy has become a testimony. You are now at peace wrapped with love, hugs , kisses , and acceptance above. You were deserving of that in life but now you can rest easy in peace and love.

Rest in peace to this young man. So many people in his brief life FAILED him. His story is so sad. He didn't deserve what happened to him.

Larry- I'm so sorry you were robbed of what should of been a long life. You are strong, courageous, beautiful, and will always forever be in my heart.
I can only hope Brandon never see's anything other than the bars that surround him. When released, in 19 years, he will be introduced to a different world. A world with compassion, a world where anyone can love whom they want, and can be their true selves. A world that will ALWAYS remember Larry!!!

Just finished watching Valentine Road. I am in tears, as an individual who came out at a younger age Larry's courage and pride as told by his friends affect me very much. Brandon most definitely should have been charged with first degree murder, he had multiple opportunities to stop and choose not to murder his classmate, yet he looked Larry in the face and shot him twice. this is unthinkable, yet the defense blamed the victim for his own murder!! it astounds me how homophobic opinions can be twisted enough to stain a court case that could have actually brought Larry and his family/friends peace. now we all have to live knowing that Brandon gets to walk out of prison, alive and breathing, while Larry's life was ended right as he was beginning to truly live as himself. and Brandon's half brothers comments about how prison will stop Brandon from experiencing "normal" teenage shenanigans - your brother MURDERED another child. #justiceforLarry

You were such a strong person wow and all these people that are so homophobic....that stupid teacher, the jurors, I don't know what's wrong with all these people! God made us all different and there's a reason why he makes us this way so truly sad and heartbreaking! RIP Larry you were so strong may you be resting in peace sweet angel!

Such a tragic, heartbreaking story. Larry, I weep for you. My heart is heavy for you, your family and everyone involved in this tragedy. As a country, as a community, we need tolerance. Larry, thousands upon thousands were touched by your story and spirit that will never die. We will never forget. We will keep fighting and supporting. I will until I die. Your story touched my heart. May you be resting in peace. To Brandon, and his family. My condolences go out to you as well, you have to live with this for the rest of your life. You get to LIVE.I am one to feel that Brandon needs to be in prison for the rest of his life. For anyone who cannot see that I feel sorry for you. Larry won't get a second chance. His life was taken away so maliciously. Gone far too soon. RIP.
