I was a sophmore in college, pres of my univ gay org the yr of Larry's murder. My last act as pres was to honor him for Day of Silence. It was a very hard day for all of us. We strove to make the day a day in rememberance of children who had lost their lives to bigotry. I stepped down at the end of that event. It was all too emotionally rending. I watched Valentine Road today and listened to the prosecutor say your death was in vain. No, you should not have died but how wrong she was!! Larry Fobes King touched lives around the country and the world over. Larry King lived!! He lived his truth and that is more than most men. I want to do something to hinor his memory. Le sigh. For now, I'll just leave this note. Sending positivity and strength to your family and surviving friends and classmates.
