So sorry for your loss. I'm against homosexuality, I feel like God gave us a perfect match and people have to complicate it. Now that I heard about what happened, it really made me think. What that guy did was wrong, Larry did nothing to deserve this. I hope that God/Allah forgives him for all his sins and he stays close to God. I hope no one takes what I said the wrong way, I know that he had his story and that he had a good heart, and sometimes this just happens, and he had the choice to be miserable and hide or be happy and forget all the haters. I think I would have done the same. I'll pray for him tonight, and his parents should pray for him as well, and should know that he is in a better place, and he is closer to God. Hope for the best, and he is listening to everything you say and do, and I'm sure he is proud of you guys, and he wants you to be happy and not worry for him so much. <3<3

I know how ard it can be to be who you are without getting bullied just because people do not & probably never will understand people who love differenly,I have no sympathy for Brandon. I am gay myself and when I was in high school I would get picked on and teased on a regular basis and some days I didn't even want to get up for school. But I did anyway and I just learned to deal with it,there came a time when I become so depressed that I thought suicide was the answer and then I thought about,if I did kill myself how much it would hurt my family to sit up in the funeral home at my funeral to view my body in the casket for the last time and how sadden they would be....... May Lawrence rest in peace,he is in a much better place walking on streets paved with gold. He was a very brave student who I would have loved to hang out with because I love gay people just like I love myself. I know there are people out there that can relate to Lawrence.

This story broke my heart. My friend, artist Barry Gross, will be painting Larry's portrait for the Rainbow Memorial. Barry is a partner with my husband, Neal Fox, and three other artists in Exposed: the Art Project, which focuses on social issues. Next year one of themes of the art works will be hate crimes. It is Exposed's goal to increase awarness and get people involved. The more people we reach, the more we can do.

I read about Larry in a college course where we are discussing the issues of multiculture and how everyone is different. When I read about Larry I teared up, as a future teacher I will try my best to inform my class on differences that we face everyday. Larry has had a great impact on me and has inspired me to become a better person and to accept EVERYONE no matter what, and to secondly inform the people around me. Who knew such a inocent life was taken all because he stood up for what he believed in. Like Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr., JF Kennedy and all others Larry is viewed as a HERO and his life will live on forever in my heart! RIP LARRY and you will be missed!

The bravery and courage that this young man displayed shocks me. I can honestly say I don't know anyone who would have the bravery to be 100% who they are, ever, but especially not in junior high. I applaud your bravery Lawrence, and I truly believe that this hateful act will bring attention to those who do not believe anti-LGBT hate is not an issue. It clearly is, and you are proof of that. I know this will give other people, young and old, the courage to be who they are, whether they are straight or gay. We love you Larry, for your acts of bravery and courage. May your memory last forever. Larry, I will remember your name, always.

I am currently doing an assignment on hate crimes and when I came across this story I felt sick to read that someone so young could be murdered. This website is touching and it is so good to see so many people all over the world pay their respects. I am 15 myself and I could not begin to think that a person as young as me could be so cruel to another young person. School should be a safe and happy place, but now there is so much violence in the world that some people cannot even call their homes safe. I hope that homophobics out there realise that everybody is human being no matter what is individual about you. I hope one day everyone can just accept people for who they are and not be caught up in a world so full of hatrid. It's saddening stories like these that more people need to read to realise what damage discrimination really does. Rest In Peace Larry, and remember you were strong for having the guts to actually come out. xo

i do not know you personally but hearing your story brought tears to my eyes. me being gay myself is difficult but thank god you had support from your family which i didnt. your story makes me think of the sick people out in this world that are cruel enough to take a beautiful soul like yours away from us. my heart goes out to your family and friends and i hope to one day meet some one as beautiful as you. i will continue to fight for equality and try my best to find a way to prevent this from happening again
