I read about Larry in a gay-friendly forum I frequent. I am so sorry for your loss and can only hope that Larry finds the peace and acceptance that he deserved here on Earth, in a heavenly life.

I am truly saddened for your loss and for our community that has lost another innocent to violence. I pray that you find some comfort in knowing that even in death your child is still touching people's lives. And I also thank you, for even in the face of this enormous tragedy you allowed the passing of Larry to bring hope and life to the lives of others. May their life bring you peace.

When I saw the news about young Larry's life. I was drawn to the innocence and love that this child offered. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to everyone who knew Larry. Just know that he is with the Lord. Sometimes it is not until a person is gone that we realize what the reason for their life was. Look into his reasons and continue to celebrate the love of this child.

I heard of this incident and did not know that it revolved around a hate crime. Larry sounded like a very brave young man, and I wish that I would have had half of his courage when I was his age to be out and comfortable with my sexual orientation, but things were different back in those days. However, it seems that some peopele today still don't get it. RIP Larry. You will be missed I am sure of that. GOD bless you and your family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of tragedy. This young man seems to have given so much joy and laughter in such a short period of time. I have found myself compelled to do something for him. I have not slept and have been consumed with trying to fight this and many other injustices for many years. It is out duty as a people to take care of our youth. Larry will not be forgotten, he will live on and he is in Heaven where he can be a Guardian Angel to us all.

What a tragic loss for the community, and a step back for Americans everywhere. We need to accept and support our fellow students, co-workers, and human beings-diversity is what makes us wonderful! We need more Gay Straight Alliances in schools, and realization that sexual orientation does not define us. Please look at my Outreach Campaign about acceptance of gay individuals: www.anyoneandeveryone.com and contact me if anyone would like to show the film in schools. Education is the key to acceptance. RIP Larry.

I'm SSorry for your loss. The world should stand up and understand that god made us ALL in his image. Most people are just afraid to show it. Sounds like Larry was a wonderful, Beautiful person. As a LE officer I hope the young boy who shot Larry pays for snuffing out such a life. Prayers are with the family. Maranda

I was very saddened when I heard of this tragedy. Someone’s child, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend could be taken as if nobody cared. I ask for all to see, what is becoming of our youth, the hatred for all that is not them! I feel for his family because I know he was somebody’s joy and light! I will hold my children tighter and say a prayer for Lawrence and his family.
