My prayers go to Larry King's family and to the whole community. As the mother of a 13-year old boy and an 11 year old boy, I cannot imagine how I would cope with the tragedy that the Larry’s family has had to come to terms with. I cannot comprehend how anyone can take the life of an innocent child. This tragedy makes it even harder to understand.
People often dismiss bullying among youth as a normal part of growing up.
I pray that we, as a community, will come together to take action so we don't let our children down again. This tradgedy could have happened to any one of our children, and we should never forget that.
Our community, our schools and faith-based organizations, governmental agencies and community members need to take collective action NOW.
Every student deserves to feel safe in school. We must take action and take responsibility for our inaction. We owe this to Larry King and his family. We owe this to our children.
We will NOT forget you Larry.

So sorry for your loss. Another life taken in the name of homophobia. And some people say that hate crimes laws give us "special" treatment! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers, as are the thousands of other LGBT teens who experience harassment and brutality on a daily basis as teachers and adults choose to look the other way.

To Larry's Family: My heart breaks for your loss. What a horrible senseless waste! May Jesus wrap you in his arms and give you the faith and strength to accept this tragedy. Larry is in the Lord's hands now, and will be hurt and tortured no more.
I will hold your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I am deeply saddened for your loss. We can only hope that more people become aware of the ongoing problem of hate and violence that seems to be prevalent in the world today, and take a stand against it. May you find peace through the wonderful memories that you have made with your son. Know that he was a gentle soul that made the world a better place. May God send you the grace to cope with this tragedy. God Bless You and I wish you peace!

My heart goes out to Larry's family, friends and teachers. I pray that his senseless murder will not be in vain and will mobilize people from all walks of life to finally get off their asses and TAKE ACTION to stop all types of homophobia!!! We need someone like Martin Luther King, Jr. to mobilize Americans to be intolerant of hate, simply because of someone's sexual identity. Where is that leader now? God willing, it could be Barack! I know I will continue my efforts on my high school campus where I'm the only "out" teacher and advisor of the school's Gay-Straight Alliance. We need everyone to take a stand. Come on people!!! DO IT FOR LARRY AND THE MILLIONS OF OTHER GLBT YOUTH WHO ARE BEING TORMENTED ON A DAILY BASIS! PLEASE!!!
Blessings and Peace,

I may never have known, however, I have a boy your age who went through what you did. May you know that you are loved and that you will be missed.
