We are left in tears by the story of Larry's brief time here and deeply hurt by the actions that took his life. When will human beings learn to teach our children tolerance and acceptance instead of prejudice and hate?

To Larry's family and friends: even though I never knew Larry, hearing about his bravery in doing something that so few adults are able to do: being true to himself, truly touches me. He did not deserve to die, but I know that his death will open the eyes of the world to the injustice faced by the world's GLBT community and minorities world round. I know that it has touched my life and I know that I will share his plight with everyone that will listen. His life and death will inspire the World to accept others with open hearts and arms.
I offer my deepest condolonces to his family and friends. God Bless

I cried my eyes out when I saw the photo montage. Such a senseless waste. My heart goes out to Larry's family. I truly admire this young boy's courage. It's a shame that those who should have protected him did not do so - - I hope ALL of those who failed him are held accountable for their actions.

Dear King Family:

I am so sorry about what happened to Larry. There's just no excuse for his murder. I am tired of the government saying that the killer is a victim too. That young man is no victim. Society is a victim because we all suffer when a bight and promising young life is taken.

Who knows what wonderful contribution Larry could have made to the world? Sadly. we will never know. But, you, Larry's parents suffer most of all. I only wish there was more that I could say, but words can never do justice to how I feel. Again, I am extremely sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

David A. Morse

Larry, I am so sad for what has happened and I do not even know you. You sound like an amazing brave boy who was unafraid to just be himself. There should be more people like you.

MY ADMIRATION FOR A BRAVE YOUNG MAN FOR BEING TRUE TO HIMSELF. IF WE ALL WERE TRUE TO OURSELVES WHAT A BRIGHT WORLD IT WOULD BE. EDUCATION ABOUT DIFFERENCES IS LACKING IN SOCIETY. BIGOTS ARE PLENTIFUL. AND I FEEL WE HAVE 2 LOST SOULS, LARRY AND HIS KILLER.MAY GOD BLESS YOU.

I just wish I could do something to change all the hate against gay people. I think Larry had so much courage and I wish he could know that he has made a difference in this harsh world.

Dear Larry
Where were we when you needed our protection.
Our eternal shame that we have not done enough to end the protection society gives to such hatred.
Our most inadequate and heartfelt apologies for letting you be hurt.
Your death is our death.
Go with peace where your journey takes you now - free spirit that you are.
