I don't know how to express how much sadness this tragedy brings me. I didn't know Larry but just by looking at his pictures I could tell he was an individual full of light. He had the courage that many adults lack. Truly an exeptional person.

I saw Larry everyday, he was the most wonderful young man, I remember telling him that I needed to take him to the Mac counter in the Mall so they could teach him how to put him make on, what ever a person chooses to be should never be a reason for anyone to want to hurt them, I'll miss Larry and your smile, but I'm at peace knowing he's a STAR in heaven now.

I'm here to pay my respect to a young man who was not ashamed of who he was. I admire him for doing something I couldn't do at that age.......be out and not care. To his family/friends stay strong and be proud that he was himself and proud of it. much luv, Octavious

I've sent several emails so that Larry's story can be known and requested that they be forwarded so that people will know Larry's story. Rest in Peace Larry...........

It's 2008, and counting. When will hatred, bigotry, name calling, and murder for nothing will leave our lifes? I have two teenage kids, and I'm apalled by this crime, when will we teach our children that a life is the most beautiful thing there is? We are all children of God, and of Nature, and some of us are better than others. Larry was one of them. I salute you Larry, your courage, your strength, your life are things that we all should learn from and all of us should be proud of you. Up there no one can hurt you, you're in a safe place. God bless you, and I hope we can get out of our own mess, which is getting worse by the day.

If Larry were alive today and I had just found out about him, I would have admired the courage of this beautiful boy. Whoever you are, it's incredibly hard to be that person in junior high. He was a hero in life and accomplished the hardest of things during that short time. I am ashamed that martyrs are still being made of people who deserve better, but you can be proud that your boy took the chance to be himself. In sorrow from Michigan.

I am so sorry that this happened to such a beautiful free spirit. I am much older, but I have worked to bring about change in the way people view those who are different and special and unique all of my life. I honor young Larry for being true to himself and for having pride in who he is. He is in us all. He is in the hearts of gay men and women all over the world. He inspires me. His death was so wrong. I love you, young Larry.
