Larry, I so admire your approach to life and grieve your loss with a heavy heavy heart. It is a indictment of our entire country that kids like the killer grow up with such fear and hatred of those who are different from themselves. When will we embrace and instill tolerance in our kids? Like Mathew Sheppard brutally killed in Montana, Larry's murder must be responded to with a seriousness that shows our absolute rejection of this kind of behavior. My thoughts and love go out to those that loved and miss Larry. His loss is shared by many many caring people around the world.

He was my sister's age. I can't really think of that much to say, because this has just stunned me. Best wishes, courage, and luck from here on out.

As I heard the news right as it happened in my home town, my eyes got watery & I thought of my 13 year old son. Why do we teach our children these things? I have many Gay friends & my children are taught to love everyone! Altho I feel so badly for this loss, I do feel for the child that did it. He was too young to know & acted simply on how he looked in the eyes of peers. You will be forever remembered Larry! PARENTS "Dont be sad that its over.. Be Glad that Larry happened & left footprints in your life, Celebrate HIM." With much love from a mother..

What a beautiful child and young man. The world will be poor for his loss. It is a same that his days were ended in such violence. All of us are seeking our selves, and at fifteen it is a very critical time to enter into that seeking. I greive with you his death. I know the taunting that he received.

Absolutly heartbreaking. Such a tragic reminder of the end result of so much homophobia that still exists. Like Larry, we need to constantly fight for glbt rights, until homophobia and all hate ceases to exist. Sadly, and in eternal memory to your beautiful soul, Paul

I sit here with tears running down my cheeks, grieving for a young person I never met. All of us who are human, and especially those of us who are gay owe this sweet soul our gratitude. Lawrence is truly a Christ. One who dared to be whom God made him to be. I know that Lawrence did not come to this earth as a victim, but an Angel, like those before him to give his life that he may awaken us all up from nightmare that we live in. But it is time that we stopped requiring Angels to come and endure persecution so that we might see light. We need to see that we are all beautiful and precious and have an important place on this earth. Thank you Lawrence for coming and being what you were made by God to be. Your light will not be in vain.

Larry marched to a differnt drummer. He, at a young age, was fortunate to be able to know who he was and to be true to himself. If only we could learn the same lesson. God bless you, Larry. God has another angel in heaven!

Larry, you always stood up for what you believed and showed that you should listen to what others thing about you and i respect that about you. And yet i seem to keep losing fragments of my heart. My favorite quote that i wrote "If you lose a friend, then you lose a fragment of your heart." Friendship will never end even in the afterlife.
