We will ALWAYS remember you Larry.
If only your fate could have been changed.
Just know that you DID NOT DIE IN VAIN. You will ALWAYS be remembered, and you may even save other teenagers from being victims of hate crimes. People are now (though late) spreading the awareness for the need of acceptance.
You were my age Larry.
I didn't know you, but I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life.
That's a promise.

Too much hate in this world. A young life taken for living his life the way he wanted to. Not shameful but proud, and why shouldn't he be proud. You now walk with God and no one to judge you. You will now be the Guardian Angel for all the other people being harrassed for just being themselves. Be at peace.

I also went to E.O. Green Jr. High and suffered teasing due to my "different" choice in apparel. The staff completely ignored me and treated me like if I was crazy. That is why this hurts me so much. Larry you are with GOD now. MUCH LOVE

What deeply saddens me is that we lost a child. I don't know anything about this young man 'cept what i read online about his demise. I will not sit here and push the gay issue. What I will push is the issue of a young child who will never see another sunrise or sunset. Find true love's first kiss, hang out and do what young kids do best: Dream. Now there's this young man who because of his personal preferrence his life was taken away. Yet, no one protested because he was gay. Wow. Mind you a friend sent me this online memorial, never told me about the young man nor his situation. I felt sorry for him and his family. Even did prayers. How wrong i was for doing that. When I found out he was gay and that no one protested or stood up for his death as a hate crime, i started praying for us as a people of ignorance and self loathing. We as a people have a long way to grow up and realize we lost an innocent life in that child. This child is already at peace. It's we who let him down.

We all live within the same world; breathe the same air; go to the same schools; live within the same community.
I cannot express how saddened I am by this. It has awakened more and more people, telling everyone of how much importance these troubles are
All I have to say, is that no one will ever forget Lawrence- if it can reach all the way across the United States, then there was someone really special out there; someone with a bright future in mind, and a sparkling personality!
And I will always keep him in my mind- reminding me of how obscene our world can be.
But then I will think of everyone who has felt this pain of loss, and everyone who is standing up for him, and others who have endured this fate- and I will smile: not for the loss, but for everybody who never forgot; who never gave up trying.
A person's a person, no matter who they are.
And I believe Lawrence King is changing things for the better.
Rest in Peace, Lawrence King
Your spirit will remain with us forever
