To Larry's Family: it just doesn't seem right that all I am able to say to you is "I'm Sorry". I wish there was more that I could do than that. I hope and pray that you will be able to find some peace from this terrible tragedy. Though I never knew Larry,I understand what he went through and I hold the up most respect for him.

The moment I heard of what they had done to you it crushed me. As a mother and as a human being. How can anyone teach their children and society to judge and hate people for what they believe/race/religion/gender/sexuality? THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD!!!! The reason there are so many callus acts on the streets are because the parents have failed to educate and instill in their children respect, morals and values. Parents need to prioritize. They need to watch and keep track of their kids. It's tough being a parent, but regardless if you had long day at work talk to your kids see them in the morning check on them talk to them. This act could have been stopped. It is apparent that thee accused parents instilled this hate in him for gays. This is just so tragic. I was crying when i saw everyone marching at the plaza for larry. May your soul rest in peace larry, for you are now a beautiful angel.

As a civil rights attorney, I am enraged by this heinous crime. This society must reexamine its hands-off approach to religious zealots who preach hate and teach their children that intolerance based on a book is acceptable in civilized society.

My partner, son and I are truly sorry for your loss. We hope for peace for your family, and know that Larry has found peace and acceptance in a much better place. The courage you instilled in your son to be himself is so profoundly inspirational and will not be forgotten. I am sorry that it was at such an extreme sacrifice. Stay strong and god bless.

I am 18 Larry and I am sad .
I am sad because your death has been mimimized in the press.
I am sad that the real story isn't coming out- the fact that you were murdered because another kid was taught to hate.
I am sad because my father'e generation has done nothing to shut up the homophobic chrsitian right in this country- the main cause of homophobia and your death. Someone taught that boy to either hate who you were or fear his own sexual orientation himself. Little children are not naturally born haters...they learn it from the adults in their world.
I wish you were still with us so I could tell you how much you inspeired me. You dared to say the hell with tolerating me- accept me. We all need brave people like you in the world Larry but hopefully not a martyr.
In your honor I will fight to combat these people here at home and in the world so your passing means something. I will do my best to make sure you are never forgotten.

Even though I do not know your family or your son, I wish my condolences. Losing family is never easy but when a light so bright is extinguished though hate, that pain must be unbearable. I may never know the joy your son brought to your family but I can understand that he must have been something else. I had friends like Larry in my high school and they ment the world to me because they were my outlet for strength. Larry will be missed even by those of us who never knew him because every one of us has a Larry in our lives. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. May God bless you and your family in these dark times.

To Larry's family. Greg, I cannot imagine the pain you and your family feel at this time. What an incredibly horrible and wastefull thing to happen. I send my most sincere condolances, thoughts, and prayers. From all of this darkness shines Larry's bright light as his donated organs will give others renewed life. Please find happiness as you reflect on what others were given through Larry's incredible sacrifice. May God bless you and your family always and forever.
