in 8th grade i was too afraid to express who i was. i was too afraid of a world that would not accept me. you were able to do something people are too scared to attempt... being yourself.. and being proud of yourself.
i never met you, and i never knew you. you are 5 years younger than me.. and your definitely a hero.

I did not know you personally larry but u were a friend of my brother. It's ashame to see something like this happen to you when you were so confident of yourself and happy. You were what you were and you said that with pride! Your at piece now even though I thought you already were, and your looking down on me from heaven. I couldn't think at school wondering if you were ok!I was at my high school while you were rite across at eo green! It hurts me because you were so close but yet so far!I'd rather be in your position, becasue you had so much ahead for waiting for you to explore, and I'm going to try and live that life for you! Just know that it wasn't your fault and you did no harm to no one! There is just those who choose not to think! Who ever was out there that recieved your heart on valentines day is one lucky person because you were full of love and happiness! Rest in piece larry king and I'll see you in the next life! Goodnight but never GOODBYE!

My sense of loss at the news of Larry King's murder is the Unfinished Life his assailant cut short. Such a waste! Such a senseless waste of a bright, sensitive person who did not have the chance to discover more fully who he was and who he was becoming! We must make sure that Larry's story is not lost or forgotten. I mourn for his alleged killer, too. What a terrible act for someone so young! So much of his life is lost, too, but in a tragically different way. Hatred like this is taught, and we must dedicate ourselves to teaching something better. The regards of Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth are with you. God Bless all who have lost so much in his passing.

Your courage to stand tall for who you knew yourself to be at such a young age is amazing. Though I did not know you, I will remember your bravery always, and be inspired. Walk peacefully among the angels now, and know your life on earth mattered to many.

What a tragedy that this young man was taken from this world so violently just because he didn't hide who he was. It is a sad world when one child will murder another just because the two are different. My heart goes out to everyone that loved Larry and have to cope with this terrible injustice. It warmed my heart just looking at the pictures of Larry when he was a little boy. What a beautiful happy little boy he was. I'm so sorry that his life didn't remain that way as he grew up. My prayer is that the students in Larry's school will take a long look at why this tragedy happened and open their hearts to students who are different. That they will look at the person and who they are as a person. Their...the students... behavior is their choice. The person who decided to take Larry's life had a choice. Now he will suffer the consequences of the choice he made.

My heart breaks for Larry's family and friends. May God comfort you the rest of your days. I have a son who was beaten at school because he is believed to be gay. He chose not to report the incident after being punched in the head and called the f word. This hate can no longer be tolerated in our society. Everyone must take a stand and speak out against the fear, ignorance and hate. Larry sounds like a very special child. His short life represents all that is good. This precious little boy will remain in our hearts and our conciousness forever.
