My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of Larry. This should not happen in this day and age! I feel the same flood of emotion comming over me as I did when I first heard of Matthew Shepard almost 10 years ago. God Bless Lawrence "Lary" King, his friends and especially his family. My apologies go out to Larry, a kid who has obviously suffered due to his strength to be himself. It wasn't bad enough he was living in foster care for whatever reason but for someone to take his life was by far the worst act taken on this beautiful strong child. We have never met but you would have been someone that I would have been honored to know. A fellow sister. Sorry Larry.

Larry is with us all everyday. I will remember Larry as I do all my sisters who have died because of who they are. When I see a butterfly I know he is there walking with me as all my sisters are. It is sad and we need to educate others that being a Transsexual or different is not something to be scared of or taking another life. Life is prececious and short as it is so we have to teach others that life is worth living and you will run into different people. My thoughts and prayers go out to Larry and his family.

I'm so sorry that this happended. What a sicko world. Where can a 14-year old kid buy or get a gun? Guncontrol NOW. Minors shouldn't have guns. People shouldn't have guns in their houses. When will you people get that? I don't care if its legal to have a gun in your house, if it's in the constitution. This is case #192221 where a kid shoots down an other, just because he hates him. Here, in Europe, we solve our problems by talking, in America, they solve their prolems by killing.

I am so sorry for your loss. Larry's insistence on living life authentically should never have resulted in bullying, much less a lethal assault. You should be proud of your son and his courage in showing the world his true self. We need to better educate young people so they are more tolerant and accepting of those who are different. You have my sincere condolences.

I just want to say to the family that I am very sorry the world is such a mess and this could actually happen to a 15 year old at school. It blows me away that kids are killing each other and I am so sorry that it has touched your life so directly and personally. Your boy is free from all this stuff now.
I know that is no consolation. I just wish you as much peace and healing as you can take !! God bless you and yours
