My thoughts and sympathy go to the family and friends of Larry. If anything good--and it's very difficult to imagine anything positive coming from something so tragic and meaningless--but Larry's death has made people aware of how important it is to be tolerant and accepting of the differences between people.

Please accept my heartfelt prayers for Larry's family. Having lost my precious son Nicholas to a senseless act of drunken violence in Sept 2001, I understand how disorientated and devastated his family are feeling.
Just know that, even though nothing is harder than this, it is survivable. Things can never be the same, there's a hole in your heart, but you can keep going, breath by breath, step by step, toward that day when you will see him again. Keep a close eye out for signs from him, he will stay very close for a while, until you are OK. My heart is with you. CC

I see this face and I see the innocence this child witheld behind his eyes. Regardless of what his orientation was, he was still a child of God...a child who innocently enough had great courage to express who he was;courage that many adults fail to find. I didn't know Larry, but I admire this young man for being strong and inspiring to all those who feel the need to express themselves, but may not know how. God bless this family and everyone who's hearts are touched and saddened. Above all, God bless Larry for he is now an angel who will be greatly missed.
