To Larry's family and friends: My heart breaks for you all, but out of tragedy, you've found a way to make good. I pray that you will have comfort and peace in the face of the unspeakable, and that the evil in the act that took Larry from you can be turned to good.

As a teacher who is gay, I try to teach kids about respecting one another on a daily basis. Not just because I am also gay, but because I know how cruel people can be to one another. I know that if they knew I was gay prior to knowing me, I might not ever have a chance with them. I pray for all, especially this life that was taken in vain in the face of ignorance.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It really saddens me that someone could actually think they are better than someone else- as if a murder is a better "sin" than being gay. Again- I'm sorry for your loss.
