Larry was very brave to stand so alone for a cause there is no glory for. I wonder where he got his strength from. He will join the ranks of the many who were to good for this cruel world. The story saddens me because hate begins in those so young. I hope in some way lessons will be learned that can make life easier for kids like Larry, and acceptance will replace the hate. God bless him.

This is another tragedy where a young person's prejudice and hate turns them into a killer. Gay teens have been treated badly in our schools for decades, and it's time for this bullying to stop. May Lawrence King's short life serve as the motivation to put an end to this behavior.

TO the King Family: I remember wonderful times with Larry wanting to help in the snackbar at OV. Picking up trash for hours. Also, remembering him catching butterflies and insects. A lot of the parents remember Larry watching their children at the playground for them. He was a wonderful person and he died way to young. Larry the boys will remember you forever you left a notch in all of our hearts. You are no longer hurting and can fly like the butterflies you loved so much. We will greatly miss you. I'll miss you making an effort to come by and see me in the classroom when I was there at the school.
