I was so sorry to hear of you losing Larry at such a young age. I had hoped that this hatred for a different lifetyle would have gotten better since I was a teenager. I was never shot at, but, had several beatings because I was queer as it was called in the 50's. The teachers and school administraiters didn't offer any protection to us then either, they just turned a blind eye to the bullying. When will the Christian Wrong give up on spreading hate instead of love like Jesus would do! My heart goes out to Larry's family in their loss.

Terribly senseless. My concerns are with you. That young man should not have had to be subjected to the threat of death just for the act of expressing who he was.

To all of Larry's family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Although I never was privileged to meet him, I can tell from the photos you've shared that he was a beautiful boy with a good heart who enjoyed his life despite all the obstacles that others put in his way, and for that alone he deserves our admiration, respect, and remembrance. May you find comfort in recalling the good times with him, and in knowing that after the tears end and the ground dries, we will stand together and do what we can to stop the hatred and bigotry. From across the miles: Enough is enough.
