This beautiful child is with God now, and though I knew her not, my heart aches at feeling such a terrible loss. And it truly is a loss to all of us as a people, as a country. And thank you to all who are speaking out, here and elsewhere, letting others know this child was in fact loved by many. My hope is that through such words other beautiful children will not suffer was this one did.

Such a loving soul, nurtured by a family showing love and generosity even in their great loss & grief by donating their precious child's organs so others may live. Larry, you live on in our hearts and you will literally live on in the seven lives you have saved by the donation of your organs. My prayer is peace for your family and that your tragic death will wake up society so that both schools and families teach love and tolerance so that this never happens again. Know that you have awakened the hearts and minds of thousands who never knew you. With healing love to you and your family, from a mother and grandmother in L.A.

Larry, I didn't get to know you before that sick, sick person decided one day that you should no longer live. Like you Larry, I went through a living hell in jr. high school when I was trying my best to accept & comes to terms with my orientation. My teachers also did little to protect me, but I made it...alive. You know what Larry? For all those kids who teased me relentlessly because I was a little more feminine than them- well, guess what? I graduated high school & went on to work for a paramedic ambulance company & then Los Angeles County Fire Department saving people's lives. I had the luxury to get a taste of my destiny Larry & I'm sick to my stomach that you did not. How many lives are "just a little less" because they did not get to find out what your gift to the planet was? Well, guess what Lar'...you DID give us all a gift. The gift of change. I can guarantee you that out of all this tragedy, change WILL come. New school policies, etc. to prevent what happened to you. Thank U

I am sad to learn that such a brave soul paid the ultimate price for being true to himself.
An injury to one is an injury to all! We must speak up and act against intolerance and bigotry to prevent hatred from escalating to such tragic proportions.
May this never happen to anyone, ever, again.

Larry, thank you for being you!!! I went to E O Green many years ago. It was so hard, I am gay, I wasn't open about it at the time, and never did I wear anything to show I might have been, but still was teased and made fun of for "acting like a girl". Never did I attempt to dress any different then any other boys, or say the words of being gay, but I was hurt on a daily basis at that school. When will this all stop? I know you are in a better place, I don't know you but have much love for you. -Roger Lawrence, Oxnard, CA
