We are sorry for the loss of such an innocent and outspoken young man. My son went to counseling with Larry and Rocky and he is very saddened by this tragedy because he new him as a gently playful boy. RIP Larry and my God keep you in his arms always.

I am so sorry for your loss. Larry was just beginning to discover who he was. I remember what it was like to be that age and gay; I had hoped that the hate and violence had subsided. I survived the violence from classmates, I was lucky. I wish that I could give you words that bring some sort of comfort, but there are none. You may look to the mother of Mathew Shepard for some comfort and inspiration. I hope that time will bring you some relief from your grief and pain.

Larry was a good friend of mine.He was always happy.Me and my friends would go and hang out with him after school.Me and my friend Erin always gave him high-fives for no reason. We were hunting him down all last week to give him a hug but couldn't find him.Now i'm never gonna get that hug.I loved him and I still do.May Larry Rest In Peace.
Love,
Emily

My heart felt sympathy to the family and friends of Lawrance "Larry" King. It is sad that this tragedy has found someone so undeserving. Until the hearts and minds of our society are willing to allow all men and women the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, there will continue to be the Matthew Shepards and Lawrance "Larry" Kings. Let us remember Lawrance "Larry" King and those who knew and loved him; and when we have honored his life and mourned his passing; let us set about the business of changing the flawed heart and minds that give rise to such ignorants and hate. God Bless You Lawrance Larry King.

My daughter was a great friend of Larry and he once or twice past by my house and said hi to me and my daughter.I always had told her that he looked like a great kid,and not to judge him becasue we are all human(she never said nothing bad about him;but i was informed by her that kids at school made fun of him).Once i heard about this tragedy i ran out of my house to the school my first taught was my daughter but then when i found out it was Larry i just felt my heart go out.He was a great kid with a great heart;and who ever got his heart on Valentines day.I hope he/she appreciates it so much because i know that if that was me i would. My condolences to the family.BECAUSEif i was him,Larry would of been my hero, becasue he stood up for what he believed. And all i have to say is for those grown ups that i have heard say bad things about such a great child, everything comes back it's called KARMA.I would be attendinf the funeral, and the memorials.=/

Rest in peace Lawrence. I hope that some good will come out of this. Perhaps the tragedy of your death will shock people. Maybe even cause a few to re-examine their own casual toleration of hatred and bigotry.
You were a brave young man. Nobody will ever be able to kill your courage.
best,
john
