I dedicate the new musical, New York Society for the Suppression of Vice, with it's themes of tolerance and acceptance, to the memory of Larry.

I have just learnt of Larry's story; and I am totally saddened by the tragic story. I feet very sorry for the sad events, and it's upsetting that such a lovable lad met such a fate.

Today is the anniversary of Larry's death and I've shed tears today. As a member of the LGBT community this is personal to me. I know that Larry is in a better place but he didn't have to die like this. I pray he is resting in peace and for all those who were there that day.

I just watched the film Valentine Road and am deeply saddened by the tragic killing of this young boy. At first I felt hatred for the people that were supporting his killer saying that he was being taunted & harassed by Larry as though the killing was actually Larrys own fault, but now I just feel sorry for all of them. RIP Larry.

Even years later Larry king still touches my heart. After viewing the documentary that aired on HBO I wept. I know that there is more to this tragic event then what was told, but all that matters is the loss of a special human being. My heart goes out to his true friends and his brother. I will forever remember Lawrence King.

Just watched the documentary today. I was touched by Larry's courage and strongwill. If only society could see the intergrity of your spirit Larry. Your story is still effecting people's lives. As we embark upon the anniversary of your passing, I want your friends and family to know I feel that your death was not in vain and you Larry, served your purpose in this lifetime. Your truth is helping so many people. Grieving is rough. But know that Larry left his mark. And it is truly good.

Larry may you rest in peace you have a beautiful soul and sorry that society both young, we are suppose to give them an excuse, but the old? These woman jurors who and the one older teacher who basically stated, the sentence was too harsh after all Brandon didn't torture Larry, what part of murder do these insane because there is no other excuse for their statements, do they not get? And the teacher saying because of Larry's appearance it was bound to happen. Just shows me how ignorant people can be. She's the one that would be saying to a young girl, if you have a boyfriend what else do you expect bit than to be raped.
I didn't know you but what I know of you now you are a beautiful strong soul.

I recently watched the documentary on this tragedy and all I could do was cry thinking how many lives were ruined by this horrible event. Do I believe Brandon should have served time for this crime, yes. He took another person's life with malice and forethought. The greater tragedy was in the ignorance of so many adults who were supposed to be the "leaders" to children, to help, guide and make understand-THEY failed miserably! Firing the one teacher who had a heart was deplorable. Her life was ruined too. Larry was a confused, misunderstood CHILD who was trying to find a place in the world he felt comfortable enough to live in-he never got the chance. Brandon's life was filled with so much uncertainty, NO roots, NO guidance, NO examples-except that of drug using adults who should have been caring for him. How could anyone have emerged unscathed from this.
May Larry's soul rest in peace. The gifts he gave will live on and his story should not be forgotten.
