I have just read someone's topic on AfterEllen, mentioning to wear green on Valentine's Day for Lawrence King. I will wear green.

i first met larry as an 8th grader at E.O Green middle school he was a quiet 7th grader and sat next to me in PE. this was were i got to know him and found that he was one of the sweetest people i had ever met. He always had the best advice to give and a shoulder to cry on. I always supported the fact that he was gay and i never once judged him. I left e.o.green and went on to hueneme high and i always thought larry would soon follow me there. However this thought never came to be.. not a day goes by that i dont think of you. you were a true friend and you will always be in my heart R.I.P Larry

It is a tragedy when someone dies just for being gay.

Dear Lawrence "Larry" King,
I never knew you, I was never friends with you on MySpace or FaceBook, and it wasn't until recently that I was told about you; but the moment I listened to your story, and I learned what was done to you, I wept. I wept for people like my two openly gay mothers, and for Matthew Shepard, and Sean Kennedy. I wept because you gave your life so that something beautiful could happen. It is a desperate shame that you never got to see hate crimes such as your own enter the constitution. As many before me have said, I also love you, and I miss you. I miss the laughs we will never have gotten to share, or the smiles I could have given you. I hope you are enjoying yourself, wherever you are now.
Love Forever and Always,
Amber, a friend.
