I just watched the documentary! I am sick to my stomach knowing that his killer only received 21 years for murder.
Did the IDIOT judge and jury take into account ALL THE OHER LIVES THIS KILLER DESTROYED??
I do feel for Brandon for being a product of his environment, BUT WE ALL ARE AND DONT USE THEM TO MAKE REDICULOUS CHOICES,
Larry your death was not in vain you.
The bravery and courage your showed by living SO TRUE TO WHO YOU REALLY WERE proved that the true COWARDS (judged, jury defense lawyers, those teachers and mostly your killer) couldnt handle it.
I applaude you Larry and you have found a place in my heart that will never go away!!

I just watched the HBO documentary, my goodness, a boy was killed, his gender, height, colour, what he wore, does not matter. We are raised to be individual and be ourselves. Larry died for being who he was, now that's a terrible injustice. Brandon killed him because he was humiliated, well we would all be in prison because of humiliation. RIP Larry, you deserved so much better. Respect to you for being yourself.

I can't even begin to explain the hurt that I felt when I learned about Larry's passing. He and I were classmates in 3rd grade at Hathaway elementary and the best of friends. Sadly I moved after that school year was over and lost touch with him. To find out we have so much in common is a shock. You are my inspiration to be myself even when it seems too hard at times. Fly high Larry. You will always have a special place in my heart!

Just learnt of Larry's sad story through an Ellen DeGeneres' clip.
What a brave young man in being so open and decidedly transparent with his sexuality.
I applaud him.
May his tragic loss not be in vein.
My thoughts are with his parents and close friends.

You didn't deserve what happen to you Larry. You were a creative free spirit that could have done many great things in this world and your life was taken too early. No one deserves this. Your life was something special and you should have been around to live it. I feel very sorry that it was cut short.

You condemned Larry King for asking Brandon to be his Valentine, saying he should not have done that.
You condemned him for acting effeminate, saying he should not have done that.
You said Brandon felt embarrassed and no one would help him with the problem so he solved it himself—and some of you wore bracelets saying ‘Free Brandon’
Since WHEN did it become acceptable to kill somebody who embarrassed you?
What is this the Wild, Wild West? Kill anybody who doesn’t act like you THINK they should?

The past couple months in my Anthropology, Sociology and Psychology course, we watched Valentine Road as apart of our culminating task. I was touched and deeply saddened by the loss of sweet Larry King. He seemed like such an amazing person and although I had no part, I feel guilty that his life was taken away from him at such a young age. I know that it's been a couple years since, but I hope all of his friends are doing alright. I didn't know Larry personally, but he will always be in my heart. Lots of Love to you all xo

I just watched the documentary about this tragedy, it is so sad that in this world still there is so much hate and more shocking that it is tolerated and defended! The anger and disgust I felt listening to people defend a killer and condemn an innocent child WTf is wrong with people? My heart goes out to all affected by hatred and bigotry!

Just today I saw the HBO documentary, I do not know either, but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to be who he is and feels like to be happy .... I do not agree on little tolerance or blindness humanity ... What about us? Why act like monsters? Regretted what happened to Larry and hopefully not have to suffer many more like him ... I wish leave the post in Spanish it is also a sign of openness and tolerance ....
