I commented on YouTube about Larry's death some time ago and eventually got two personal responses - one hateful and one positive.
As I read the comments on that video, even today, it makes me so sad, and angry, that so many people cannot see what a tragedy this was for everyone, even me as I value the life of every person. Gay or straight are not part of the equation.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. I pray you can all find closure and peace. Larry was not a sinner and, if there truly is a god, he is with Him. He will be remembered by lots of folks who never had the opportunity to meet him. And there is more love than hate out there - even if we don't speak out as loud as we should.
I am not gay but I grew up in a home where we had many gay friends. All my experiences with them taught me they were the very best people to have as friends. Even today, if I need to really count on someone, I look to them.
My heart goes out to you.
