I commented on YouTube about Larry's death some time ago and eventually got two personal responses - one hateful and one positive. As I read the comments on that video, even today, it makes me so sad, and angry, that so many people cannot see what a tragedy this was for everyone, even me as I value the life of every person. Gay or straight are not part of the equation. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I pray you can all find closure and peace. Larry was not a sinner and, if there truly is a god, he is with Him. He will be remembered by lots of folks who never had the opportunity to meet him. And there is more love than hate out there - even if we don't speak out as loud as we should. I am not gay but I grew up in a home where we had many gay friends. All my experiences with them taught me they were the very best people to have as friends. Even today, if I need to really count on someone, I look to them. My heart goes out to you.

Hi there..i know you are already in good hands. I do not know you personally but i could relate to what happened to you. I know someone who suffered from discrimination and it is somewhat the same as what ahppended to you. To your family, be strong and take courage. God is always there. With constant prayers, everything will be in it's proper place.

I believe that there are those who are here on earth for a short time for a reason. We are that reason. They are the angels that give us so much in such a short time. Thank you Lawrence! You will forever be a beautiful angel!

He must have been so brave to stand up to those people, the person responsible for his death is probably just a pathetic lowlife, why should somebody be shot for being gay? it is just sickening. gay people have just as much right to live and do what they want as anyone. we will all remeber laurence, for ever.

To Greg, Dawn, Rocky, and the entire King family, It's been a full year since the passing of your beautiful son, and I know there is not a day that goes by that you don't think of him. Please know that he did love you all very much, and he will be with you in spirit through the good times, and the tough times and rough spots! His spirit will shine on forever in everybody he has touched in his life. God Bless!

I was not even close to being as brave at 15 as you were. You and your family are in my thoughts.

I am both angry & saddened that we still live in a world where people imagine they've the right to determine the personal lives of others are to be judged. It is ignorance. Everyone will dislike something about some1. Tolerance & acceptance is our only hope to venture forth past the dark ages human nature still resides in. It's unfortunate that in all of the ages that man has dominated this planet we still can't learn to accept, not necessarily embrace, diversity. Though we've no problem emracing adversities. May Larry King's sacrifice help educate us & bring us closer to light & hopefully closer to enlightenment & peace through tolerance which is our only hope of TRUE brotherhood not only in the GLBT arena but in all areas of human life be that racial, religious or otherwise. Bless you Larry, I wish I had been blessed to know you. I feel the world would be a better place were you still in it. But I don't grieve for you as I know you're beautiful spirit prevails.
