I can't believe something this tragic happened to an innocent and beautiful boy. I am 12 years old and I am bisexual. I feel a deep connection to him because we are alike. Quiet, outspoken, innocent.
I love you, Larry. I never met you. but I love you.

What happened to Larry is so sad. Tomorrow, my friends and I, who are a part of the Gay-Straight Alliance at our high school, are passing out ribbons to our fellow students tomorrow. We will tell them of the awful thing that happened to Larry and to make sure that this sort of thing should never happen, especially to a boy who had a whole life ahead of him. I hope the families and friends of Larry stay strong, especially for tomorrow and for the rest of their lives.
Much love from a little town in Virginia

Lawrence King, you will never be forgotten in my heart and soul. I will always advocate and help other youth in honor of your bravery and courage to be yourself despite other people's ignorance when I become a counselor. The world lost a wonderful and special young boy on February 12, 2008, but you will always be a hero.

Blessings to this beautiful child and the horrible sacrifice he made. It is my hope that his loss is not in vein, that people across the world will stand up and say NO MORE to atrocities and violence, to prejudice and cruelty.

larry isn't dead. not in my heart.
and hopefully, not in the hearts of all the people who cared for him and loved him.
for everything amazing that he was.
and hopefully, larry can help other people love.
somewhere, larry is smiling.
