I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am an elementary teacher who's older brother is Gay and proud of it, and I work very hard to educate my students about displaying prejudice and hatred towards others just because they look or seem different! Larry's death is a tragedy that should never have happened, but maybe, just maybe, more people; especially, children and young adults, will learn an important lesson from his unfortunate death will learn to accept each other for who they are and for the goodness that's within their hearts.

This strange disease of modern life, with its sick morality, its divided aims and idolisation. The world has changed so quickly that people seem to mistake identity, confuse appearance and forget character is infact higher than sexuality. A great soul will be strong to live as well as think, surely this is common sense? It appears common sense is not so common. *He who rejects change is the architect of decay*. Do not reject change change, become at ease with the complexities and confusion of modern routine and the next time you distinguish an 'imperfection' or rather a 'difference' in another human, first examine yourself and come to the reality of why you're so prejudice against another person; see if infact that is something that could better changed in YOURSELF rather than another.
Rest in peace larry.. One day the world will be somewhere you would have been proud to be.

HI, i read this article in my high school classroom and im gonna tell you a read that article more than ive read in school. And this heart break shocked me.....that someone would do that to someone being themselves...being who they are. And i dont know larry at all but that kid looks like he wouldnt hurt anybody, he wouldnt tell them there dumb for being who they are. But all in all he never deserved to pass for being himself. And we all know for shore he will be in our skin and in our prayers FOREVER. Im sorry for your loss and may we all be with you. Love Nick Kellogg

I started reading about Larry friday during a in-class assignment using magazines and I'm glad I chose to read NEWSWEEK where I found the article about Larry King. His story is one like no other I've ever read, I want to cry and never stop. This shouldn't have ever happened. It's too sad for me. So I'm quite sure this incident was dreadful to those who knew him personally. I pray that everyone involved will understand that Larry was just a person as anyone else and he was no different. We are not here to judge others. This is very unbelievable and makes me angry to know that the situation got that much out of hand. I would like to thank those who supported Larry, I know I did'nt know him but I think that those who did helped him to be more confortable with his individuality. Rest In Peace LAWRENCE F. KING!!! You lead your life strong. Thanks!!!
